Hello All!
So, here's where my DREAMS will be coming true.
What I'm most excited about, ironically enough, is to experience cultural similarities between the people of Austin and the city of Brisbane (where I will experience most of my time). There are many similarities between Australia and America culturally. They both have been under British rule at one point or another and both have segmented natives that weren't always treated very well. These pioneers are known as aboriginals and they have inhabited the continent for thousands of years. On the brighter side of things, Australia is rich with diversity which I hope to see in Brisbane, which has a laid back but big city culture that is said to compare to Austin's.
That's all I have to say for now I'll get back at you with details of my adventure and illustrate how I will join forces with a group of talented UT students with varying backgrounds and experience to tackle reporting on climate change.
